Imagine 24-hours of continuous volunteer activities worldwide to engage company employees and the public to take action to fight against childhood hunger in the U.S. and around the world. To kick off Morgan Stanley’s 12th annual Global Volunteer Month, on June 1 Morgan Stanley employees did just that! In one day, starting in Australia and ending in Hawaii, 2,300 employees sorted, packed and delivered nearly 1.9 million meals to children in need as part of Feeding Kids Around the Clock. In the heart of New York City’s Time Square, Morgan Stanley partnered with Feeding America and the Food Bank for New York City to hold a volunteer event during which employee volunteers packed meals while visitors from around the world took the pledge to volunteer in their local community. Morgan Stanley provided updates throughout the day on its 13,000 square foot digital signage in Times Square, on www.morganstanley.com/global-volunteer-month, and on social media using #MSGivesBack. Feeding America was proud to partner with Morgan Stanley and thanks them for their tremendous support of our work!
