Job Responsibilities

A member of the Leadership Team, the Director of Development is responsible for planning, implementing and directing all aspects of development strategies. The Director oversees fund development, communication activities, volunteer activities and special events. The position provides expertise in managing donor relationships.

Application Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; five years of experience in related field preferred. Additional education may be substituted for experience, and education qualifications may be waived depending on work history.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including high-level expertise in grammar, punctuation and composition.
• Background directing fund development plans and activities, and overseeing fundraising events, marketing and communication activities, and grant management.
• Experience with social media fundraising.
• Ability to work independently, taking initiative and meeting high expectations, as well as working as part of a team, communicating well and supporting others.
• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with leadership, staff, supporters, targeted community groups and the public with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion, with an emphasis on flexibility and professionalism.
• Possess current vehicle insurance and ability to use a personal vehicle for FBSCM business
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment
