We envision a community where everyone has access to an adequate and nutritious food supply. The organizational vision describes the future, desired state of the organization. The CEO is responsible for creating and sharing this vision - they will help everyone in the organization see how each employee and team, volunteer and partner, donor and community leader contributes to the achievement of the vision. The CEO continuously strengthens the food bank’s role as a community partner with all constituencies: business, government, social justice organizations, and other community groups dedicated to serving Inland Empire residents in need. The CEO leads the development of the strategic plan and annually prepares and submits an operating (business) plan and budget that enables the organization to fulfill its purpose.
The CEO serves as a role model exhibiting the behaviors that support a strong, accountable, vibrant, and successful organization with the capacity to meet the needs of the hungry in Inland Southern California. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible to meet all legal, contractual and other organizational obligations to ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws, AIB, Feeding America standards and practices and other requirements as necessary.
Passion for the food bank’s mission, and demonstrated experience in community involvement initiatives Strong understanding of organizational financial systems. Ten years demonstrated progressive leadership experience with Feeding America food banks. Demonstrated success in community facing roles, partnering with individuals and external organizations Experience building effective working relationships with the media, business and elected officials Ability to think strategically and turn strategy into action; experience overseeing operations Experience developing talent and leading high-performing teams Exceptional communication skills, written and oral Track record influencing across an organization to gain buy-in and execute Passion for problem solving; the ability to find creative solutions and generate results Ability to adapt and leverage experience in a dynamic environment Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

Based in Riverside, California, the organization distributes approximately 30 million pounds of food each year through a network of over 500 local partners. Programs include TEFAP, SNAP, DFAP, Agency Distribution, Senior Hunger Programs and a Child Hunger Program that assists over 7,000 children monthly during the school year.
