The Food Bank is seeking a Chief Financial Officer who is responsible for financial statements, tax filings, operating budgets, financial forecasting, cash management, grant accounting and managing the relationship with auditors and the Finance Committee of the Board. Will implement financial policies and procedures, ensure ERISA, state and federal requirements are met
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related degree with a CPA; extensive experience in a senior level finance and budget position with ability to provide strong leadership, financial analysis and fiscal direction to the organization; ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial data, develop reports and make decisions. Experience in a nonprofit preferred.

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is a $50 million supply chain operation serving a third of Virginia in the central and western part of the state. It is a leading nonprofit organization serving approximately 114,000 food insecure individuals per month, with an operating budget of $8 million.
Responsible for all financial accounting, planning and reporting for the BRAFB, including financial statements, tax and benefits reporting, cash management, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis. Responsible for working with independent auditors and the Board’s Finance Committee to ensure the annual financial audit is completed in an accurate and efficient manner. The person in this position also serves as Chief Compliance Officer, monitoring the overall compliance program for the organization.
