|Description||Resource Development Coordinator position available in Austin, TX|
Provide excellent customer service to our donors, volunteers and clients, responding to donor requests in a timely manner. Prepare donor acknowledgement letters and project manage additional special mailings. Use the Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online databases for gift processing and maintenance of constituent information. Assist with logistics for direct mail and online solicitations, including maintaining the communications and production calendar. Assist Database and Stewardship Manager in maintaining constituent database and producing reports. Ensure the smooth running of the Resource Development Department through the maintenance and establishment of effective systems and procedures and by keeping the policies and procedures manual up-to-date. Provide administrative assistance to the Development Team by compiling the workplan, coordinating volunteer outings, completing purchase orders, reviewing expenses and other tasks as assigned. Organize and maintain Development files including collateral materials, electronic files, correspondence, and other team efforts. Oversee departmental volunteers through weekly and special projects. Assist with public tours and workplace giving campaigns, which may include public speaking and representing the Food Bank at special events. Support planning and execution of special events to steward Food Bank constituents. Other duties as assigned by the Database and Stewardship Manager and as requested by members of the Development Team.
Education, Experience, and Training
Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferred but not required. Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other constituent management database software preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to communicate information in a professional manner to a variety of people using excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Exercise good judgment and discretion; strong ethical character capable of handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency with the Internet and non-profit software (Raiser’s Edge preferred). Demonstrated experience in administrative and clerical work. Ability to effectively and efficiently seek out and find needed information both within the Food Bank and externally. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other Food Bank staff and volunteers.

Conditions may include working outside in inclement weather, working around machines with moving parts and moving objects, radiant and electrical energy, working closely with others, working alone, working protracted or irregular hours, and traveling by car, van, bus, and airplane. Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing only the essential functions include computer and related equipment, typewriter, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, and automobile.

|About the Organization|
The primary objective of this position is to provide administrative, clerical, and project management support for the Development Department. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating logistics for mailings, gift processing and donor correspondence, maintaining the procedures notebook and other development files (paper and electronic) and managing departmental volunteers and interns to ensure the department runs efficiently.
