  • Become the face and spokesperson for Roadrunner, including sharing Roadrunner’s work across the state and the Feeding America network. 
  • Develop trusting relationships with stakeholders, including partner organizations and potential partner organizations, funding entities, government officials, etc. 
  • Work with the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s strategic direction.
Application Qualifications

A strong candidate will be passionate about ending hunger in New Mexico, and will also bring a variety of experiences and attributes to Roadrunner, including:

  • Masterful communication with stellar interpersonal and networking skills; 
  • Strategic thinking with well-honed business acumen; 
  • A successful track record developing relationships with funders, cultivating and expanding donor relationships, and securing funding; 
  • A well-honed shared/collaborative leadership style, including experience inspiring and motivating staff and fostering professional advancement across the organization; 
  • Experience supporting the Board of Directors in its governance role; 
  • A college degree (required). Application

Roadrunner Food Bank has been working toward ending hunger in New Mexico since 1980. Roadrunner’s mission is to feed every hungry person today; seed partnerships that build selfsufficiency for tomorrow; and achieve its vision of permanently ending hunger in New Mexico. This work is centered on the agency’s core values which include: accountability, integrity, and unity through teamwork, respect, and passion. Today, Roadrunner is the largest nonprofit distributor of food in the state, distributing more than 30 million pounds of food every year to hundreds of partner agencies and four regional food banks. 70,000 people are served weekly as a result of Roadrunner’s work. Roadrunner is also a member of the Feeding America network.
