Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

50% Capacity Building: Cultivate relationships with prospective NPAC leaders and other sources of community / network support. Coordinate alliances and partnerships amongst symbiotic network partners. Complete one-on-one coaching of NPAC leaders. Pro-actively identify and respond creatively to opportunities for increased visibility and support. Establish metrics, tracks program statistics and evaluates all programming for quality, effectiveness, educational goals, and audience response.

40% Partner Support: Manage virtual communication of all NPAC partners and participants, maintaining excellent communication with MFB ART and management. Work collegially to develop appropriate partner communications strategy and to support content needs for marketing and public relations. Responsible for developing NPAC manual, incorporating input from MFB and network partners. Develop and deliver trainings both on site and off site.

10% Administration: Develop project schedules and day-to-day timelines, deliverables and budgets and ensure the project is on time and within budget. Prepare appropriate reporting to support functions. Develop project schedules and day-to-day timelines, deliverables and budgets. Handle both Community resource mapping and mapping of potential partner council areas.

Application Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A combination of social services work and education will be considered. Experience: At least five years in a relevant field of work is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required as well as an MVR showing no prior DUI/DWI’s and fewer than 2 points against the license. The ability to read, write and speak English is required.

Additional Information

Overall purpose of the position:  In this role the employee will be responsible for extensive work to organize and categorize the MFB partner network and build the capacity of the MFB statewide partners.  The scope of the work will include assessment, creation and implementation of a community based communication network among the statewide partners and the MFB.   

In addition this position is responsible for coordinating the application and evaluation processes for new network partners; it also assists in the evaluation of existing network partners of the Maryland Food Bank according to Feeding America guidelines; identifies and supports the needs of providers related to service delivery.
