Job Responsibilities

Cultivates donors who give mid-level gifts. Helps develop and implement strategies to effectively cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts.

Application Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects/events and adhere to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills
• Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Commitment to serving vulnerable populations
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 3-4 years minimum experience in the non-profit field related to capacity building, advocacy, emergency food services and/or stakeholder development.

About the Organization

The Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida was opened in 1983. Formerly known as the Lee County Food Cooperative, the Harry Chapin Food Bank has served as the only Feeding America food bank in Southwest Florida. We’ve partnered with more than 150 agencies that provide direct services to those in need, including church food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, disaster relief agencies and more. Today, the food bank provides food for more than 28,000 individuals each week. In fiscal year 2016-2017, the Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed 22.3 million pounds of food, provided 18.6 million meals, and turned every $1 into $8 worth of food for those in need.
